There are different types of contractors in the world of construction, but in the end, it comes down to general contractors and subcontractors. As it sounds, subcontractors are a tier below general contractors and are generally responsible for specific aspects of any given project. Subcontractors include roles like roofers, electricians, framers, and others. The real question, though, is what is it that general contractors do, and what responsibilities do they have? In a word, what general contractors do, or more accurately, what they are responsible for, is everything. From hiring the right subcontractors to providing owners with updates and meeting deadlines, general contractors run the show, and the show must go on. Yes, general contractors have a big job, but when the show is a hit and the construction project shines, they are also the stars of the show!.
